Indian Airlines, India’s premier airline, has now been renamed as Indian. But Indian Airlines (IA) had establish itself as such a strong brand name that majority of people are still not aware that its name has been changed to Indian. Indian Airlines is fully owned by the Government of India and came into came into being with the enactment of the Air Corporations Act 1953.
